Experimental Study and Numerical Analysis on Windage Power Loss Characteristics of Aviation Spiral Bevel Gear with Oil Injection Lubrication

With the increasing speed of aviation spiral bevel gears, load-independent windage power losses caused by hydrodynamic have increasingly more influence on gear transmission efficiency. Firstly, a test rig for loss under oil-jet lubrication is established, and this basis, method measuring torque proposed. Next, interactive effects different injection parameters were studied orthogonal experiment, formula calculating was obtained fitting experimental data. Then, fluid distribution, velocity field pressure around analysed using computational dynamics (CFD) numerical model, mechanical energy characteristics obtained. Finally, dimensionless processing moment carried out, variation coefficient with rotational Reynolds number The comparison between data simulation results shows that CFD values are in good agreement measured This study provides methodological guidance calculation reduction design pair oil lubrication.
